Since 1970, Falco Design has made a habit of staying ahead of the curve. Evolving from commercial art to computer typesetting to the dawn of desktop design and production to website design and digital marketing, the professionals at FALCO are never satisfied with being anything but the experts.
We stay on top of the times, anticipating technology and change and that’s why we’ll be here for our clients 40 years from now. But how did we get here? And who are we today?
Any discussion about the history of Falco Design has to begin with Marie Falco. She’s quite a woman, businessperson, entrepreneur, designer, mother and grandmother.
Way back in the late 60s, when most women were just starting to think about equal rights, Marie Falco was living them.
Divorced and raising two boys alone, Marie was smart and savvy enough to leverage her lightning fast, incredibly accurate typing skills into a position as a typesetter. (In case you don’t remember what that was, keep in mind there were no MACS back then. There was commercial art … design by hand. Type came on long strips of paper and was cut and pasted into position on a mechanical board with an exacto knife and rubber cement.)
Eventually Marie learned the tools of the trade and joined forces with her employer. FALCO Design was born in 1970.
Today, Marie’s son Carl owns and runs Falco Design – that’s him over there on the left. Since the day he took the reins from Marie, he’s been committed to doing business the way his mother did.
Falco Design isn’t your average design firm. It’s a family legacy. And Carl makes sure that the business is devoted to the values established way back when it first began. FALCO prioritizes things like congenial customer service, anticipating customer requirements, agency-client partnership, and budget conscious processes and services. Add that to exceptional design work, tech savvy creative and marketing skills and you’ve got a powerhouse of design services at your disposal.
